PTCR is a thermistor with a high positive temperature coefficient, made of BaTiO3. This ceramic is a ferroelectric material and an insulator with high resistivity at room temperature. But with semiconducting doping, it shows a strong PTC effect - low resistance at room temperature that increases sharply near the Curie point, causing significant changes.
